I've just seen on twitter that this week is London Cocktail Week.

What's the secret to making a great cocktail? What's your favourite cocktail and why?

My favourite has got to be the Lycee martini I was very lucky to have at the Swissotel The Stamford in Singapore and in London, I have had some pretty awesome ones at the bar at Galvin at Windows, Cool as a Cucumber springs to mind!

Yum, yum... Drinks

Well, the short answer is a great barman/maid! Margarita is my favourite cocktail but I rarely get a good one, and it's even more upsetting with added flair! It's not hard to make but everyone has their own idea it seems. Had some nice cocktails at the Mandeville, and some damn good mojitos at a little club in Camden.

I like changing and experimenting, I can tell you my favourite cocktail bar is the Lab in Old Compton Street, Soho. Two come two mind. One called "Patatina" with strawberries, balsamic vinegar and (I believe) rum, the other one was called "Tiramisu", kind of an Alexander but I swear it was like having a liquidised tiramisu!!

@ Katherine: I used to be Asst F&B at Swissotel London :)

Hi all! Thanks for leaving your comments.

@Salt&Pepper - what do you do now? I think I will checking out that bar when I am next in town...

@Katherine -  Sorry to disappoint you but they closed the Hotel on 1.10.11...such a shame...

Oh, misread your post, yes the Lab is still open and well worth a visit!
