Members of The Foodservice Consultants Society International (FCSI) were hosted by Food and Drinks Company Creativevents at the world famous Brooklands Museum in Weybridge.
Members then made their way to the Bluebird Room where they were greeted by Jonathan Doughty, UK & Ireland Chairman of FCSI and Museum Director Allan Winn who introduced delegates to the fascinating history of Brooklands which stems back to 1907.
Guests were served a delicious four course lunch, created especially by Creativevent’s Group Head Chef, Alex Hall, in the Chequered Flag room. The Menu included a starter of ‘Spiced bread crusted goats’ cheese with a pear and vanilla purée and honey truffle vinaigrette jelly’, main course of ‘Roast loin of venison with red cabbage, pickled walnuts dauphin potatoes and a date & port jus’ and a mouthwatering trio dessert platter consisting of ‘Apple & cinnamon infused rice pudding with a sultana salsa and bay leaf foam sherry trifle with orange custard and cranberry jelly and warm chocolate tart with sour cherry caramel’. Lunch was rounded off with a selection of unusual British cheeses served with traditional Mead.
