The overall Vacherin Hot Nosh 'Prix d’Or' was scooped by team who blew away the
competition, winning both the ‘Morning Glory’ breakfast and the main
course categories.
The team won the second round of the competition with delicious
dishes consisting of; ‘House Smoked Chicken, Nectarine and Nettle Raised Pie’,
‘Fennel and Broad Bean Ravioli, Pressed Tomato Terrine with clear juices’,
‘Braised Shin of Veal, Foie Gras, Trompettes and Anna Potatoes’.
The Hot Nosh competition,
which is now in its
6th year, challenges staff from all 25 Vacherin sites to work
together, stretch their talent and imagination and come up with three
innovative recipes. Each round is made up of 3 stages making 9
individual
heats. The overall winner is the team with the most points from each
stage.
