Every year Sikhs descend on Melaka to pay homage to priest and missionary Sant Baba Sohan Singh Ji at the Gurdwara Sahib temple. The event goes on all weekend. Everyone contributes to the food which is prepared by the congregation before they all eat together.
The gathering, or barsi, includes continuous recitation of the Sikh holy book or Sri Guru Granth Sahib.
