Delaware North catered to the NFL International Series at Wembley Stadium on Sunday 23 October, when the Tampa Bay Buccaneers played host to the Chicago Bears in a thrilling encounter (Bears 24:Buccaners 18)

The NFL is no stranger to Delaware North with many teams being catered for back in the US by Delaware North Companies (UK)’s sister company, DNC Sportservice.

Building upon both this local and US experience, Delaware North carried out 78,500 separate transactions providing in excess of 180,000 items to fans through its concession stands, not to mention feeding over 8,000 guests in the stadiums numerous restaurants and private suites.

Hawking plays a big part in American Football matches so 120 hawkers were around the stadium selling a range of products, from hot dogs to popcorn, as well as ice cold beer and soft drinks.

Delaware North opened a new concession concept at this event called ‘Butchers Block’, which was set up on Club Wembley level, serving a beautiful ‘Steamship Round of Beef’ carved in front of the guests.

Delaware North UK’s managing director, Simon Dobson said “The NFL International Series is an important part of the Wembley Calendar and we were thrilled to have two great teams here again this year.  Bringing the best of our US operations together with some firm British favourites was fun and the great results achieved by our team were immensely satisfying”.

For the NFL:

  • 77,000 fans
  • Over 20,000 hotdogs
  • Over 100,000 pints of beer
  • Over 10,000 burgers
