UK foodservice consultants
honoured at FCSI EAME conference
Two Foodservice Consultants
Society International (FCSI) UK & Ireland members have been honoured at the
society's European, African and Middle East conference - Rosemary Osbourne for
her longstanding commitment to FCSI and Gareth Sefton for the design of Dinner by
Heston Blumenthal.
Service Award
Rosemary, of Rosemary Osbourne Consultancy, was awarded the society's Service Award
for her dedication, commitment, loyalty and enthusiastic service to FCSI.
"Rosemary has been a member of
FCSI for 20 years and has over 30 years of foodservice experience," says FCSI
UK & Ireland Chairman David Bentley. "Her dedication over these years has
been second to none - she's at the heart of the society having being
Chairperson of both FCSI UK & Ireland and FCSI European,
Africa and Middle East (EAME), as well as being a Director on the Worldwide Board. Rosemary's
support, passion and creativity have not only helped members, but made a
positive impact on the wider foodservice industry."
Excellence in Design Award
Design consultant Gareth Sefton FCSI, managing director of
SeftonHornWinch, was presented with the Excellence in Design Award for his work on Dinner by
Heston Blumenthal.
David adds: "Gareth and his team
had to balance Heston's blue sky thinking with the practicalities of a busy
kitchen and this project is an outstanding example of how using innovative
technology and cutting-edge design can create something that is really fit for
purpose and delivers wow-factor."
European appointments
The conference also saw some
changes to the FCSI EAME board. Outgoing Chair Tony
Galvin, Partner A&E Partnership, handed over the FCSI EAME Chairmanship to
Jonathan Doughty, group managing director of Coverpoint Consultancy. UK
Chairman David Bentley, Managing Director at The Russell Partnership, was also
appointed to the EAME Board. The group thanked Tony for all his support as
Chairman.
