The French Tarte opened in Surbiton in January. It is the younger sibling to the The French Table next door. Husband and wife team Sarah and Eric Guignard have opened a sublime bakery featuring Eric’s signature fresh breads, incredible pastries, tart’s and cakes, along with some of the finest artisanal produce available to purchase in-store.
The French Tarte holds afternoon teas, which have been created by head pastry chef Michel Rissons. Michel’s boasts an impressive career, which includes Michelin-starred Yauatcha and The Ritz in London.
Customers will enjoy a selection of three sandwiches, chicken, smoked salmon, and cucumber and cream cheese, as well as traditional scones with clotted cream and home-made strawberry jam. A selection of cakes and tarts will be created on a seasonal basis, all served alongside tea or coffee.
