Gin brand Barentsz, named after Captain Barentsz, the Dutch explorer, is created from a blend of Dutch wheat and rye grain, distilled for a smooth taste with the scent of jasmine. The original will be joined by a new launch this year, Mandarin Barentsz.

The Island Rum Company has launched its first premium rum blend, Progresiva De Vigia Mezcla 13, into the UK. Containing 5.5 grams of sugar per liquid litre, the rum has a dry, mellow character with citrus, molasses and smoky, woody notes.
