Bumpkin revamps Westfield site format in bid to boost trade

British restaurant group Bumpkin has revamped the format of its Westfield site in a bid to draw in more shoppers after trade at the location proved to be lower than expected.

The Westfield site is the only one of the three sites that is expected to change for the time being.

The all-day menu at the shopping centre has been expanded with more options at a lower price point. A selection of lighter, cheaper dishes such as breakfast baps, salads, sandwiches and deli dishes have all been added to Bumpkin's offer at Westfield to complement its trademark hearty British dishes such as its pies, steaks and Sunday roasts, all of which will remain on offer.

Speaking of the changes at the 170-cover restaurant, which also has a bar with wines available by the glass, managing director Tina English said: "Our restaurant in Westfield Stratford City still reflects the quirky, British and generous ethos of Bumpkin, however it now offers a wider choice of dishes at a variety of price points to appeal to shoppers looking for a light bite as well as evening destination diners."

Bumpkin, which is operated by Ignite Group, has two other sites at South Kensington and Notting Hill.
