Ultimate Leisure director quits role
Colin Rowlinson, business development director at northern bar and club operator Ultimate Leisure, has quit his job.
Rowlinson joined the company 14 months ago from Yates Group, where he was finance director working alongside chief executive Mark Jones.
Jones, executive chairman of Ultimate, and Rowlinson were bought in as trouble-shooters at the struggling business after nose-diving profits led to the resignation of five board directors.
Jones said: "We intend to split Colin's responsibilities between the senior team and will not be looking for a replacement in the short-term."
Ultimate's senior management team consists of Jones; Craig Bell, finance director; Caroline Craik, communications director who joined from the Laurel pub company earlier this year; and Chris Blacklock, operations director.
Ultimate has just purchased the Pacific Oriental restaurant at 1 Bishopsgate in London From Orchid Pubs. Jones aid it would be converted into a two-floor Prohibition bar, opening earlier December.
