Late night bar operator Novus Leisure is teaming up with Karaoke experts Lucky Voice to introduce new "pods" in Manchester.

The owner of the nine-strong Tiger Tiger brand will spend an estimated £400,000 to open its first set at its venue in the city’s Printworks.

Due to launch on 5 July, each air-conditioned pod will hold between six – 14 guests and offer more thna 5,000 songs for customers to choose from.

James Spragg, commercial director for Novus Leisure said: “After experiencing Lucky Voice in Soho, we felt the concept would work brilliantly in Tiger Tiger. The new pods will complement our existing offer of bar, restaurant and nightclub... and generate incremental sales for the venue.

Nick Thistleton, managing director of Lucky Voice said the move marked the first move to expand the pod concept in the UK.
