Salvation Army turns to Aramark healthcare in £5.75m deal

(27 September 2007 11:00)

Aramark's UK healthcare division has been awarded contracts worth more than £5.75m in total by the Salvation Army.

The division, which generates £30m in annual turnover, has signed multiple deals with the Christian group to provide catering, laundry and cleaning services at five hostels and three older people's care homes.

The majority of new contracts start on 1 October and include older people's care homes in Liverpool and North Walsham, Norfolk. The hostels in the deal were previously catered for by Sodexho.

Aramark has already picked up deals with the Salvation Army for its older people's care home in Bath and youth hostel in Ipswich, which were previously run by Eurest and Sodexho, respectively.
