London hotels saw revenue per available room (revpar) grow by 4.6% in the week ending 20 January, according to figures from hotel benchmarking service The Bench.

Revpar climbed to £97.55, up from £93.27 during the equivalent week of 2007.

Occupancy grew by 0.2 percentage points to 74.8% while average room rate increased by 4.2% to £130.36 compared with £125.06 in the corresponding week of 2007.

The Bench - which is partnered with US firm Smith Travel Research - provides online benchmarking data for in excess of 34,000 hotels in more than 400 markets.
