Talkington Bates wins Red Tractor accreditation
Catering firm Talkington Bates has been awarded Red Tractor accreditation for its beef, lamb, pork, chicken and turkey.
The Red Tractor scheme, run by Assured Food Standards (AFS), is a guarantee for consumers that food has been produced, transported, processed and packed to a rigid set of assured standards.
It ensures a system of traceability is in place, which is backed up by regular inspections conducted by the AFS, an independent organisation set up to manage and develop the Red Tractor initiative.
Paul Bates, group managing director at Talkington Bates, said: "We believe in supporting high standards of food production and this issue is also something that many of our clients and their customers are concerned about.
"They will welcome the quality reassurance that accreditation for the Red Tractor scheme provides - it is also a visible symbol of our high standards."
The new accreditation means that Talkington Bates' contract catering sites are now able to display the Red Tractor logo.
