Man killed by falling masonry in Clapham Junction bar
Falling masonry killed a man while he was sitting at Le Bouchon Bordelais in south London yesterday evening.
The 27-year-old man had been sitting outside the bar on Clapham Junction's Battersea Rise when a piece of masonry fell and hit him. He was pronounced dead at the scene by emergency workers at about 9.30 last night.
A Met Police spokesman said: "We can confirm that the police were called at 9.20pm yesterday to Battersea Rise after a piece of masonry fell on a man."
The incident was not related to the recent riots in London.
